In preparation for the upcoming tournament series for the beginner and comeback players, I decided to draft the rules of the Amateur League. I remade Standard to be friendlier to their play environment and called it Scarce Standard. The details after the cut.

Format: Scarce Standard

Standard format (covers Theros, Born of the Gods, Journey into Nyx, Magic 2015, Khans of Tarkir, Fate Reforged, Dragons of Tarkir and Magic Origins set) with a few restrictions:
Max no. of Rares allowed: 2
Max no. of Uncommons allowed: 6

Random deck checks will be done in-between rounds to assure that they abide by the rules. For reprinted cards, you can check the cards’ current rarity online on the Gatherer site.

This is a Free Registration event. Prizes are Intro Pack decks from the previous expansions and the prize structure will depend on the number of players.
