I recently pre-ordered a Core Set 2019 box just before the spoiler season in order to get a grasp of the new set’s cards and add to our card pool collection. It was starting to be a routine for me to Pre-Order a box if there are no budget constraints as I just shared the cost with my card pool mate Gee Lim. Anyhow, it was a good thing that the boxes arrived together with the Prerelease Kit so I was able to acquire mine Sunday on that M!9 Prerelease weekend. I then used the boosters for practice draft for those who are going to the Nationals. I participated this time and fell to a 1-2 record.

I have observed that the opened Mythics that night were Chromium, the Mutable, Bone Dragon and Vivien Reid. That booster draft practice covered by almost two-thirds of the booster box. A few decent rares were also opened but I forgot which names. I then set aside the remaining box so that Gee can open them but later on I decided to just open the packs myself. There were about 12 booster packs left and so I opened two before I went to Manila for the Judge Conference. The rest of the packs were opened the week after as the pool needed card components for their deck for Nationals. I opened two more Mythics, Omniscience and Nicol Bolas, the latter was opened on the last booster pack. How awesome is that?

I am hoping to pull the same number from my upcoming Core Set 2019 booster boxes which were our compensation as judges during the Philippine Nationals 2018 last weekend.
