And so the first batch of official spoilers for the upcoming Guilds of Ravnica set has been revealed in the current PAX event. The first five Ravnica guilds got new arsenals which I may consider as new toys to play within the upcoming Standard format after the rotation.

One relevant spoiler though is the reprinting of the shocklands, and this will be the third time that it is back for Standard use. This is a good replacement since a lot of the dual lands from the Kaladesh and Amonkhet block is out of the format by October. As for its uses, it will surely support the mana base of the remaining deck archetypes even though most are on a Mono color strategy such as Green Stompy and Red deck wins. What also will flourish are three-color strategies that are based on the common colors of these lands. I see Jeskai control, along with Sultai deck setup.

We shall see soon the deck build once the full Guilds of Ravnica spoiler is out, but for now, let us just enjoy this good news while also enjoying our Sunday rest day.
