I have this recent addiction. I’ve just noticed this after Theros was released in the local stores. It is the urge of buying and opening every single Theros booster pack. The set just have so many goodies that I won’t miss the chance of opening them. Anyhow, my best resort after opening these booster packs is to create a six booster sealed deck. This is also in accordance to practicing for Grand Prix Hongkong this October.
Earlier today, I get the chance to create a Sealed deck again with my booster packs bought yesterday. Here is what I’ve came up with:
I have been a fan of Red Green builds lately and they are somewhat effective in most of the matchups in the sealed environment. Monstrosity is the usual strategy but here in my current pool, the cards favored into the Bestow mechanic. Ramping into fatties while avoiding early aggression is most likely the key for an effective R/G deck.
I’ve initially splash two White cards and only 17 lands but I noticed it needed to continually play lands until the fifth turn for the big spells. I removed Dauntless Onslaught and replaced it with an eight Mountain, making 8 Forest and Mountain with 2 Plains.
I am hoping for more Sealed sessions in the coming weeks for more deck building practice.
