Here is another short recap of this week’s Magic: the Gathering Standard Pauper tournament. The event was held last Wednesday, April 8 with ten players in attendance. Various builds of Heroics were still the players’ deck of choice because of its powerful and consistent start

and also can easily trump any other aggro decks.

The deck I played was another new archetype I found on PDC Magic site and the list is a Pauper version of Grixis Control. It got First place in one of their recent online events which got me interested in building the deck. Here is the link to the list.

My matchups with the Heroic decks did not go well though as the results were 0-1-1 (one loss and one draw) and so my hopes for a Top 4 finish ended after the second round. I was able to win the next two though and finished with a 2-1-1 record.
