I went to Manila last weekend for the first leg of the World Magic Cup Qualifiers for the Philippines. The tournament was held in Fisher Mall in Quezon City and was hosted by Regran Hobbies & Collectibles Shop. It was a jam packed event and as expected, we surpassed last year’s attendance record with this year’s 492 participants. It was then a ten-round Swiss tournament with a cut to the Top 8 which the playoffs will then be held next day.
