Big Red has been one of the tier deck archetypes before in the first Zendikar block and featured cards like Zektar Shrine Expedition, Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs and Comet Storm. The other build is to curve out with aggressive creatures while having a late game plan in case the first wave gets answered.

I am reviving the strategy again in the current Standard format with the release of Battle of Zendikar. Here is the initial decklist:
