The Standard rotation will happen in just a few weeks and the preparation for the new format with Battle for Zendikar will surely require a huge part of your financial budget. Of course there are budget deck options for the new players along with Intro Packs from the new set for ready-to-play decks. The notable cards that you can buy at the moment are Butcher of the Horde, Sorin and Kolaghan, the Storm’s Fury. They don’t cost that much so it is better to buy them as soon as you have the budget. You can also cut some of the one-ofs for new Battle for Zendikar cards if it’s a decent deck upgrade, like changing some of the lands to the new creature-lands.
