In the recent rumor information of the upcoming Magic: the Gathering set Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, the card spoiler reveals that the set will have a Legendary channel land cycle. I saw the initial spoiled card for the White Legendary land with Channel and the second one that confirmed it was the spoiling of Takenuma, Abandoned Mire. Here below is its ability.

Channel – 3B: mill 3 cards and return a creature or planeswalker from graveyard to your hand, this ability costs 1 less for each legendary creature you control

The Channel ability is a semi-Dredge effect that is relevant mostly in the late game as it fills your graveyard and at the same time returns a relevant creature or planeswalker. It provides gas if you have some graveyard-based effects such as Delve and returning a creature threat that was dealt with earlier will surely sound trouble for the opponent.

I think I would have two to three copies in the deck, given that it does not come into play tapped means it won’t really affect the deck’s spell curve. I cannot wait to see what the other Legendary lands in the cycle and their Channel ability will do. We will see in the coming weeks as the official spoiler season for the set starts by late January.
