In my years of playing Magic: the Gathering, I have become familiar with most of the slangs or shortcut terms used to describe a certain card or play, or situation. These slangs are mostly invented by players, and not game rules related.

A few I’ve known and continue to use are: “Alpha Strike”, “Bear”, “Vanilla”, “Chump-block”, “mana float” and many more to mention.
