Ending the year 2015, the team did some Standard deck updates as a preparation for the MtG Iloilo Year-ender tournament last December 26. We retained the tier one decks while we looked for pieces and card components to use and build for decent competitive decks. Good thing Gian has some cards that we can borrow and use for that major tournament. Here are the team’s current Standard decks:

1. Abzan Aggro
2. Jeskai Black
3. Atarka Red
4. Black Red Dragons
5. Black White Strangler
6. Naya Prowess

The funky Naya Prowess build piloted by Ericson eventually won that event as they were caught by surprise of the deck’s explosive one-turn kill draws. The card Myth Realized also was an innovative superstar against control decks that don’t leave open mana for instant spot removals while dodging Sorcery speed removals. I will have a separate deck tech post with the decklist as soon as I can find the site which Raoul referenced from.

Coming this January weekend tournaments before the Prerelease of Oath of the Gatewatch, I think we will still retain this lineup and just do some slight changes in the main and sideboard.
