Deceiver of Form and Temur Ramp

Deceiver-of-Form-and-Temur-Ramp
The MtG Judge Mystical Tutor page has revealed and featured a preview card from Oath of the Gatewatch which was published last December 31 and the card is Deceiver of Form (the link to the post here). Here below is the card:

Its seven casting cost may look expensive, but with the right deck which I will discuss today, it will be very efficient. Here is one deck I would suggest, Temur Ramp with See the Unwritten:

Maindeck
2 Deceiver of Form
4 Dragonlord Atarka
1 Dragonlord Dromoka
2 Dragonlord Ojutai
2 Surrak, the Hunt Caller
2 Thunderbreak Regent
1 Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger
4 Whisperwood Elemental
4 Rattleclaw Mystic
3 Shaman of Forgotten Ways
4 Leaf Glider

4 See the Unwritten
2 Kiora, Master of the Depths

1 Canopy Vista
2 Cinder Glade
3 Flooded Strand
4 Forest
2 Haven of the Spirit Dragon
1 Island
1 Mountain
1 Plains
1 Prairie Stream
2 Windswept Heath
3 Wooded Foothills
4 Yavimaya Coast

Take note that there will be changes in the deck once the full Oath of the Gatewatch card spoiler is out.

The ideal card to be revealed and copied to your other creatures by the deceiver would be Whisperwood Elemental as multiple copies of the said card can mean a massive army of 2/2 Manifested creatures at the end of your turn. Other options are Thunderbreak Regent and Dragonlord Ojutai though the Legend rule might be an issue if you control two or more creatures that can become copies of the card.

That is about it for this card and deck discussion for Oath of the Gatewatch. Until the next post and I hope you start the new year right by playing MtG. 😀
