Previewed on the second day of Week One of Dragons of Tarkir spoilers, the mothership site has revealed the five Dragons that will be included in the Intro Packs of the set. Here are the regular versions and artwork of these Dragons:

All of them seemed to be playable in a Limited environment, though upon checking the Standard worthy among them, Pristine Skywise and Harbinger of the Hunt are the only viable Dragons in the group. Necromaster Dragon looks to fit in a Blue Black Control archetype, but with the current removals in the Standard metagame I don’t think it will survive.

As for the Red Green Dragon, he will surely fit in RG Monsters list filling the five-mana slot along with Stormbreath and Sarkhan. Now the deck has a built in answer to Hornet Queen and its tokens or against Elspeth’s Soldier dudes. Somehow the card reminded me of Thundermaw Hellkite.

It looks like the set is moving to prioritize allied-color cards which I am happy to take. I can’t wait to see more card previews in the coming weeks, though my wallet is not prepared for the expected expenses.
