The current pandemic has caused a lot of delays in the Magic: the Gathering product distribution around the globe and the Philippines is not an exemption. Being part of the Southeast Asia region WPN or the Wizards Play Network, the distribution hub covers these countries included and that it looks to be a wide range.
The official Philippine distributor Neutral Grounds has posted two days ago about the info sent by WOTC regarding the delay in the shipment of the Zendikar Rising products. They have told that the PR kits will be delayed as a result of unforeseen logistical issues. There is no definite date yet for these products but as for the Launch Day, ZNR Draft booster boxes and commander decks are expected to arrive.
I am not sure what kind of “unforeseen logistical issues” they encountered as this already is the 3rd or 4th time that these product distributions faced shipment issues. That is starting from the community quarantine period here in the country. The local game stores again suffer this effect as they had to adjust their schedule again. While the players are very much excited about the new cards, they can just resort to Magic Arena to try them out in the ongoing Sealed and Draft events.
As for the personal preorders, I would prefer them to arrive on time so I can get to record my booster packs openings on my Youtube Channel. Anyhow, for now, I just need to resort to do and maximize the things on hand.
