I am getting the hang of drafting Zendikar Rising and today’s a holiday, and so I decided to do another one. This time, I have planned out to build the Boros Warriors archetype and seeing a lot of cards that support this. It is somewhat halfway of the Party mechanic, but I wanted it to be as aggressive as possible. It prompted me to have a few Landfall creatures that can pump by itself (Skyclave Geopede and Prowling Felidar) or the team (Canyon Jerboa).
It was a good thing that the passed cards somewhat favored my deck plan, and so the picks were smooth.
Check out below the Zendikar Rising Quick Draft deck I built.
Final record: 7-1. The deck was curving well and aggressive enough to push through the damage. The only loss came out with my blunder play of not casting the Ox before killing the 1/1 Deathtouch Elf. That delay cost me the game later on.
Overall it was a good decision of the deck archetype draft. It was more efficient than the Landfall deck even though I had no solid removals and only the pump spells for my creatures to survive. I might try this again on my next Zendikar Rising draft.
