This weekend will be another major tournament for Magic: the Gathering I am looking forward to checking the coverage online. The Magic: The Gathering Mythic Championship VII, to be held at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California, is expected to be another venue of high-end competition among the top players of the game. A total of 68 participants will compete for their share of the $750,000 prize pool.

The format is Standard and we shall see which deck will dominate the format in the aftermath of the Oko-based decks. I imagine it to be a post-apocalyptic scene that the balance in the surroundings has been restored. I saw a glimpse of the submitted decklists and the expected decks of Fires of Invention, Golgari Adventures and Witch’s Oven-based and probably Esper Control to see some highlight in the tournament.
