MTG Standard Deck Feature: Japanese Mono-Black Aggro with a Twist

While we are still waiting for the next card spoilers or info of the upcoming set Dominaria United and on it will affect the Standard format, we look at some existing deck builds that the strategy may be are rotation-proof. When we say that term, it means that the cards are still legal to play in the format right after some Magic: the Gathering sets are rotating out.

With the entrance of Dominaria United, the next expected Standard format will have these sets: Innistrad: Midnight Hunt, Innistrad: Crimson Vow, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, Streets of New Capenna and Dominaria United.

Going back to today’s Standard deck feature, we have a list from a recent tournament organized by Hareruya Japan. It was a team-trio event, and I took notice of one of the Standard decks piloted by one of the teams. It was a Mono-Black Aggro deck with a Zombie tribal theme. I have observed though as I went through the decklist that it wasn’t purely on the aggro route as it has several cards that shine in the late game.

Check out the video below detailing the deck discussion of the Mono-Black aggro which I called as a deck with a ‘twist’.
