I recently saw the announcement on the SEA Region Judges group on Facebook posted by my fellow judge Felix Capule about the date and venue of this year’s Judges Conference Philippines. I remember attending last year’s conference in Tagaytay wherein we enjoyed almost all of the activities and learned a lot from the lectures and topics conducted by some of the Level 2 Judges.

This year’s Judge Conference will be at Bacolod City this coming September 15th and hosted by the local game stores affiliated by judges Edwin and Ian Philip. This will be a major advantage for me since I only need one fast craft or Roro ride to cross to Bacolod. I would only hope for fair weather that day as the month is frequent by typhoons and monsoon rains.

They are currently looking for speakers to discuss topics for judging in Magic, its rules and related stuff. I am thinking of applying but I do not know at the moment what my possible topic would be. We shall see.
