Rabble Red Khans Standard Update

Rabble-Red-Khans-Standard
The recent feature in the Rabble Red decks in Standard is the inclusion of the Jeskai monk Monastery Swiftspear. Given the 1/2 body with Haste, its bonus Prowess gives additional damage for every noncreature spell played specifically Auras like Dragon Mantle and Hammerhand. One the recent builds of the deck looks like this one:

Creatures
4 Akroan Crusader
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
3 Mogis’s Warhound
4 Monastery Swiftspear

Spells
4 Dragon Mantle
1 Hall of Triumph
2 Hammerhand
2 Lightning Strike
4 Stoke the Flames
4 Titan’s Strength

Lands
20 Mountain

The straightforward mono color version is the usual preference as it is more consistent and the fact that it can curve pretty well on a regular starting draw. Cutting the Rabblemasters, the deck looks pretty much a budget type and can be recommended for those beginners who would to play in Standard.

Another build that caught my interest is the one with a White color splash for cards like Chain to the Rocks and Deflecting Palm. We all know that big creatures are usually holds your creatures’ attacks, unless you’d drawn into ‘can’t block’ spells. Chain to Rocks basically solves this problem and is cheaply cost based on the number of lands in the deck. Deflecting Palm, on the other hands, is the best answer to burn spells and other direct damage effects.

I forgot which site that list was posted but I will post the deck list once I am done with a few revisions to fit on the local metagame. Stay tuned for another update post related to this one.

Until next post.
