The full Dragon’s Maze spoiler has been revealed today and I got to read all of the new cards in the set. There are a few picks so far, but also I am checking into other cards that might have potential in constructed Standard.

By the way if you have not known it yet, there is a functional reprint of the card Armadillo’s Cloak. It is now called Unflinching Courage and I definitely saw its potential in Bant Hexproof or sometimes called Bant Auras.

The three drop is somewhat cluttered at the moment but the playset of Avacyn’s Pilgrim allow it for a second turn play. Loxodon Smiter is my other third drop choice because it’s significantly good in stopping aggro and a better clock against control. Being uncounterable works well against American decks and also messes up Liliana of the Veil discards.

Silverblade Paladin is another good choice that go with Rancor and other Aura spells in the deck. It provides a fast clock and also can get into defense against small hordes.

I am also checking Ascended Lawmage to potentially be included in the deck but I doubt its high casting cost.

I’ll wrap this up for now, and I guarantee that the card pool will build this deck for playtesting. I’ll let you guys know any changes that’ll be made.
