I can say that it is still the brewing period of Standard, even though most decks have permanently established their rank in the metagame. On this post, I’ll be discussing about tokens again but this time from a somewhat different approach. This is the ‘American’ version.

We have about 15 token generators in the list, and supported by Snapcasters for flashback use. We only have a set of anthems (Intangible Virtue), and pseudo pump spells with Rally the Peasants and Hellrider.

I’ve decided to put on the whole set of dual lands for efficiency of the mana curve. Some ideal plays are:
Turn 1, land.
Turn 2, land, Gather the Townsfolk/ Krenko’s Command.
Turn 3, land, Intangible Virtue, attack. (4 damage)
Turn 4, land, Hellrider (10 damage) or another virtue then tap opponent’s critters with Feeling of Dread, attack. (6 damage)
Turn 5, attack for Alpha strike with counterspell backup.

I know that sounds too good but the spells can definitely curve out well. The Syncopates here play a major in protecting your critters from mass removal (aside from Supreme Verdict of course) and also counter their fatties. We can always sideboard Rootborn Defenses, Negates and Essence Scatters for other situations.
