I have been observing the prices of Conflux since it was released and I was a bit overwhelmed with the prices. They are so freaking expensive. The top Conflux cards based on the prices are Nicol Bolas Planeswalker, Noble Hierarch, Banefire and Maelstrom Archangel. The elder dragon got the highest price, ranging around 20 dollars a piece. (Wtf!) Banefire also experienced the hype with a price of 10 to 11 dollars, equivalent to around 500 pesos here in my area. I’d rather take my chances in buying booster packs instead. Deck of the Week: Mono Black Aggro
This week’s deck feature is a Magic: the Gathering Standard take of one of Magic’s favorite decks: Mono Black. It was created by Jim Stafford and got 7th at State Championships 2008 in Wyoming. The list uses the powerful black creatures in Standard like Ashenmoor Gouger and Demigod of Revenge, and spot removals like Unmake and Nameless Inversion. It also uses Dusk Urchins, which served both as a beater and card drawer source.

Hey peeps. This topic came up in my mind and decided to write about it because I’ve noticed in our area that there are a lot of new Magic players who are afraid of joining our weekly tournaments. Yeah, I know they are still new to the game. I’ve been there too. That’s why maybe they’re afraid of losing or committing mistakes or something like that.
Here are the five things or reminders I came up with that I think can clarify to the newbies, or what we call in gaming terms as noob, why they shouldn’t be afraid.
