C&C (Cheap and Competitive) Decks for Standard

Playing and competing in Magic has been getting tough, especially on the financial aspect. Most powerful cards nowadays, costs you a minimum of 500 pesos, and you really have to spend thousands to build a “so-called” Tier 1 deck. Most people (including myself) blame the Mythic rarity as the cause of this sudden rise in card prices, though we just have to deal with it. The problem now is for the beginners who wants to play competitive Magic but does not have the financial capacity to do so.

Jund Domination in SCG $5K Richmond, Virginia

Jund does it again! Yes folks, the Shards of Alara plane continues to dominate the Standard metagame with the recent top finish at Star City Games $5000 Open event in Richmond, Virginia. The pilot was Alex Bertoncini which had previous top finishes in the previous SCG events. Some Interesting Extended Decks in GP Oakland

The Mtg 2010 Season kicked off with Grand Prix Oakland last weekend and as Day Two getting to a close, we saw pros perform on the last remaining rounds to get to the top 8. Well, the final eight has been decided as of the writing of this post. It features the best players and high level pros of Magic with the names Conley Woods, Tomoharu Saito and Adam Yurchick.
