MTG Iloilo Tournament Results Saturday Standard (June 25th, 2022)

Last Saturday’s event was again highly participated by the local players and I can say that this has become a full-blown weekly tournament for the Magic: the Gathering Iloilo Community. Our card pool team sent out three players as Ace and I are not available to play on that day, even if it was scheduled at 2:30 in the afternoon. I guess I was swamped with the online review.

Magic: the Gathering Set Boosters Probability: Hit or Miss on the Good Cards?

The opening of the Magic: the Gathering Set Booster packs on live sell is still ongoing for me despite our Standard card pool in almost 100% complete. This might be on testing my luck despite some of these other cards being already available and on hand. Maybe with the chance of selling them to the other players in the community? As for my card pool team, we have already fulfilled the top-tier decks and are just mainly adjusting with the builds to optimize the usage of our cards. The dual lands might be a slight issue but more card components are already on the way.

Thinking of Teaching the Basics of Magic: the Gathering

This is one of my current dilemmas for MTG Iloilo. The current scenario of recruiting new players to join the community is quite a challenge. This is mainly because of the lack of public events such as the hobby conventions wherein we can present the TCG and hold a learn-to-play session to teach them the basic game rules. As of this posting, I have not yet heard of a local event dedicated entirely to hobbies and scheduled for the rest of the year.
