I have been so swamped with work this week that I forgot to do any deck tech or news blog post on Magic: the Gathering. Another reason is a stagnant Standard metagame, even with an update on Mardu vehicles having Walking Ballista in its lineup. Meh, an ‘upgrade’.

For this week’s local MTG tournament schedule, there will be a Duel Commander FNM event at Critical Hit: Comics and Games. The registration fee was not announced just yet but it is scheduled to start at 6 pm tonight
A week after the Aether Revolt Gameday weekend, it will be back to a regular schedule for the local tournaments though Critical Hit might be hosting a Sunday Standard tourney aside from their regular Friday Night Magic.

Standard tournaments and Booster league will be the feature of the Magic: the Gathering events this coming weekend. Two Friday Night Magic will be the tournament options for players this Friday: one at Rei’s place and the other at Critical Hit. Note that there is a slight increase in the registration fee as the prize boosters has also increased in price. The latest is at 85php.
