Unboxing the Signature Spellbook Gideon

Wizards of the Coast has recently released the second product on its Signature Spellbook line and the featured planeswalker is Gideon Jura. If you followed the story on War of the Spark, we have known the fate of this noble planeswalker. He had sacrificed himself in exchange to the life of Liliana Vess, saving her from the curse impacted by Nicol Bolas. This signature spellbook contains a single pack of cards that depict Gideon’s heroism.

I bought this product from Rei’s place at a retail price and here is the product front cover.

This is sort of a side slide box wherein the contents only have one special pack. To think of the size of the box in comparison to the actual product, there seem to be unwanted vacant spaces but I don’t want to really dwell into that as its overall look is really good.

Anyways, the pack is glued in the middle and the back side of it is this cardboard with the phrase “When the fight seems hopeless, fight harder.”

We already know what cards will be the content of this pack and most of them are playable in Modern and Legacy format. There is only one random foil of one of the cards added. I unfortunately opened the foil lesser value card.

Here are the complete set of cards that is included along with a random foil of one of these.
This might have value in Commander.

Rest in Peace is estimated to cost around 400-500 pesos and Path to Exile is price ranged at 300-400 pesos. In total of the price value of the cards, it is worth it to buy this product at its retail price. If you are lucky enough to pull at least a foil version of the cards mentioned above, that is already twice above the value of this spellbook. I’d really suggest to grab one at your nearest local game store.

That is a wrap of this unboxing of Gideon Spellbook. Until the next blog post.
