Esper Control in Dark Ascension

As the Standard decks continue to evolve in the metagame, it’s normal that we look at a few archetypes before Dark Ascension entered the format. One, in particular, is the Esper Control archetype. I remembered that this was one of the favorite decks from last World’s championships and from Iloilo Champs 2011 & I think that this still has potential and needs a little tweaking.

Magnan’s Aggro Loam wins GP Lincoln

The first Modern Grand Prix of the 2012 season was topped by a not-so-popular deck choice in the format. This was piloted by Bronson Magnan which edged out the powerhouse Melira Pod deck by Andrew Cuneo in the grinding three-game finals. Continue reading
