Standard Rotation is in a Few Weeks and Preparation is Essential

Standard in a formal description, is a tournament format containing several recent Magic: The Gathering sets. Most sets enter the format when released and drop out about twenty-one months later. In a few weeks or this coming September, we will bid goodbye to some MTG sets that are next scheduled to rotate out of the format.

Magic: the Gathering Iloilo Big Time Commander Tourney this Saturday

Magic: the Gathering Iloilo Pioneer Tournament Results (July 29th, 2022)

The Magic: the Gathering Pioneer Tournament last Friday was held with eight players in attendance and two teammates participating in the prize grind. It is a good thing that this is a consistent event despite some of the players having schedule conflicts at work or in the family.

Magic: the Gathering Top Standard Decks Updates as of End of July 2022

The recent updates on the Magic: the Gathering Standard format usually depends on the results of the various major tournaments online on MTGO and Arena, and also with return of face-to-face events. With the limited set in the format, the top deck archetypes usually retain their ranks as they are more consistent in winning games, and while there are some decks with experiment builds, they do not really excel as the consistency becomes an issue. Still, I’d be happy to see some of them perform well even with just one major Magic: the Gathering tournament.
