In the past Magic: the Gathering Standard format metagame, there is no missing point of facing a Mono-Red aggro match in your local game store and on online platforms like Magic Arena. This deck archetype seems to stick like a piece of gum on the shoe of every metagame and is barely affected by the Standard rotation. The schedule for this week’s Ragnarok X: The Next Generation KVM battle started Tuesday night and so I was able to join our guild party. The problem is we lacked a High-priest or event just a Priest for support and it really mattered during our matches. It became relevant as we relied only on our food buffs and PVP potions to recover from the damage dealt by the opposing guilds.

Last Saturday we saw finally an activity in our local Magic: the Gathering Iloilo community. That is because we were finally able to hold our tournament via the Magic Arena platform. I sense the local players were very eager to play Magic again but because of the several weeks of ECQ here in Iloilo City, even the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms Prerelease was moved to a later date.

In the Ragnarok M 2.0 – War of Crystals Event every Sunday, the first part of securing the MVP area is very crucial for every participating guild. That is because every four MVP killed secures one crystal gain for the guild. If given that the four guilds are very competitive, it will most likely rely to the MVP kills right after each guild securing at least one Crystal tower that is easy for them to defend.

In my experience in the past while playing Magic: the Gathering Standard format, one of the impactful gameplays is how people cheat huge and devastating creatures into play/battlefield. Also, a bonus is that those creatures get to have enter-the-battlefield effects which makes them worthy even if you were able to destroy them on the spot. Having those costly mana costs is no problem as they only use reanimation spells to get them online and just plainly win from there. I can say that it is one of the pillars of the Magic: the GAthering gameplay as Wizards still continue to print newer versions of these reanimate spells.
