The Streets of New Capenna is coming this April 29th and what I am most excited about aside from the flavor and the mechanics is to try out the new cards in the Stanard format. There are now a few relevant Standard tournaments scheduled in the local setting and also online and we are looking forward to what will be the impact of this upcoming set.

Streets of New Capenna Card Previews: The Two Charms
Hello again readers, today’s blog post is about the two-card previews from the upcoming Magic: the Gathering set Streets of New Capenna Card and these are the Brokers Charm & Riveteers Charm. We will check its application on the current Standard metagame if it will become a relevant component in the future. I was looking at the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Invoke cycle cards and the best color combination I will use for the deck build is Blue-Black or Dimir. Based on the previous deck builds, the best Invoke card in the cycle is Invoke Despair and you can basically win by just repeatedly casting this spell.
With that method, I think Blue is the best color to partner it, along with the card draws, and counterspells. What we are looking for on this deck build is to maximize the use of this powerful spell, either copying it or recasting it again from the graveyard. We can breakdown the deck builds into:

The Magic: the Gathering rules and gameplay have a complicated initial approach to those who are not familiar or have not yet tried a single game. At first look, people can be attracted to its art and some well-designed card frame but how can they know how each card works? As what I wanted to promote this awesome trading card game to as many people as possible, I am thinking of what ways I am going to do in order for them to learn the basics in steps or just through a single part of the game or the basic rules of it.

Happy Thursday all. One more day and we are into the weekend of Magic: the Gathering games and other hobbies that you might have scheduled to do on those days. Today’s blog post is another throwback Thursday report of the local tournaments done back when the Lorwyn set was still in the Standard format. Check it out below one of our Block Constructed events.
July 19th, 2008, the last Saturday our Magic: the Gathering tournament was held before Eventide becomes legal. We decided the format to be LBC (Lorwyn Block Constructed) in preparation for Team Iloilo for the upcoming GP Manila in August.
